Melbourne, FL (November 13, 2020) – Around 9:22 p.m. on Tuesday night, November 10, a woman was killed in a moped crash in Melbourne.
According to police, the accident occurred on East University Boulevard when 62-year-old Cheryl Ann Dahlmann entered the eastbound lanes of the roadway. A vehicle started to make a left turn into a parking lot and did not stop in time, causing their vehicle to collide with the moped.
Dahlmann was the only person injured as a result of the accident. She was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries where she later died.
The roadway was closed in the area of the accident for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the collision continues.
