Winter Park, FL – Ilona Clinger Killed in Drowsy Driving Accident on University Blvd

Winter Park, FL (April 10, 2020) – Orange County officials assisted at the scene of a drowsy driving accident on University Boulevard near Forsyth Road in Winter Park.

Police confirmed that a 22-year-old woman from Longwood was killed when a driver fell asleep at the wheel and struck a tree.

The accident, according to the Florida Highway Patrol, took place around 4 a.m.

The driver was identified as 22-year-old Austin Long, who fell asleep at the wheel. He suffered serious injuries and was hospitalized. 22-year-old Ilona Clinger was also taken to the hospital but died due to her injuries.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
