Pierson, FL (September 16, 2020) – Around 3 p.m. this afternoon, police confirmed that a fatal car accident took place at an intersection in Pierson.
Though few details have been provided, it is believed that the accident occurred at the intersection of 4th Avenue and Center Street when two vehicles collided. The accident was incredibly severe and took place for reasons that are still under investigation.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were present at the scene of the collision. One or more victims were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident due to the severity of the crash. It is not known if any of the parties were injured.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the intersection for several hours while police worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
