Ormond Beach, FL (October 12, 2020) – On Saturday, October 10, a child was killed in a fatal motorcycle crash that took place on a roadway in Ormond Beach.
According to the Ormond Beach Police Department, the collision took place at 600 North Nova Road when a motorcycle and a white Kia crashed into each other. The crash happened when the Kia started to make a left turn into the nearby apartment complex.
The accident was incredibly forceful and led to serious damages. The driver of the motorcycle, who has not yet been identified, was hospitalized with serious injuries. A 13-year-old boy was a passenger on the motorcycle and was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
