Mims, FL (June 5, 2020) – According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a fatal ATV accident took place at an intersection in Mims.
Police confirmed that the accident took place near the intersection of Morgan Alderman Road and State Road 46 around 11 p.m.
Investigators discovered that a man driving a Polaris ATV was near the intersection with two passengers on the back. His ATV left the road for unknown reasons and crashed into a pole.
A 26-year-old female passenger was immediately ejected from the ATV. She was taken to the hospital and tragically succumbed to her injuries.
The driver was identified as a 57-year-old man who was taken to the hospital in serious condition.
The accident remains under investigation by the police.
