Kissimmee, FL (July 21, 2020) – Around 7:40 p.m. last evening, July 20, one person was killed in a fatal two-vehicle crash in Kissimmee.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident occurred when two vehicles collided at the intersection of US-192 and Vineland Road.
Officials confirmed that a 60-year-old man was headed south in his SUV on Vineland Road when he collided with a vehicle traveling west at the intersection for reasons that are not yet known. This caused the SUV to leave the roadway, where it struck a tree.
The driver of the SUV was transported to the hospital but he succumbed to his injuries while there. His passenger was identified as a 60-year-old Kissimmee woman who was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the other vehicle was identified as a 23-year-old man from Orlando who suffered minor injuries.
Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
