Kissimmee, FL (November 10, 2020) – On Sunday, November 8, a fatal pedestrian accident occurred at an intersection in Kissimmee.
According to police, the accident took place at the intersection of South John Young Parkway and Emmett Street around 7:33 p.m. that evening. An unidentified pedestrian was walking at the intersection when they were suddenly struck by a vehicle in the area.
The pedestrian was severely injured as a result of the accident. They were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.
Authorities confirmed that the driver who was responsible for the accident immediately fled the scene. They have stated that the vehicle was a Ford Transit Connect Van that will have heavy damage to the front end and could be missing the lower portion of the front grill.
Kissimmee Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident.
