Brooksville, FL (May 6, 2020) – Around 9:37 p.m. on the night of May 4, one person was killed and several were injured in a fatal head-on collision in Brooksville.
According to authorities, a 70-year-old woman was traveling north on Broad Street while a second vehicle was being driven by a 63-year-old woman and traveling south.
The first vehicle was approaching a curve in the roadway but the driver lost control of her vehicle. As such, she entered into the other lane of traffic.
The 70-year-old woman suffered from fatal injuries at the scene of the accident. Her passenger, a 38-year-old male, was taken to a hospital with critical injuries.
The 63-year-old woman suffered from serious injuries and was also hospitalized.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
