Belle Isle, FL (June 18, 2020) – According to police, one person was injured in a house fire that took place last afternoon, June 17.

The fire, according to authorities, started around 3 p.m. at a home at 5000 Peninsular Drive. Firefighters did not comment on what started the fire.

A neighbor noticed the fire initially and broke windows in the home. There, they found an unconscious victim inside. They were able to pull the male adult out of the home.

The victim was allegedly taken to the hospital with traumatic injuries. Their current condition is not yet known.

The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
