Winter Garden, FL (August 18, 2020) – Around 2:30 p.m. this afternoon, a hit-and-run crash with injuries happened in Winter Garden.
According to authorities, the accident took place when two vehicles collided at the intersection of Bethune Avenue and East Bay Street. One of the vehicles involved in the accident fled the scene of the collision immediately following the accident. Police have not yet confirmed if they caught the driver responsible.
There were injuries reported as a result of the accident. Those who remained at the scene were allegedly checked by EMS crews and one or more victims were then transported to the hospital.
The roadway was blocked only for a short period of time following the collision.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues at this time.
