Whittier, FL (September 6, 2020) – Yesterday, September 5, four people were killed in a fatal car accident that took place in Whittier.
The Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that the accident took place between a pickup truck pulling a trailer and another vehicle on US-441 near the area of Bavar Road.
The passenger vehicle traveling southbound on US-441 merged into the northbound lanes, where it collided with the vehicle pulling the trailer. This caused the vehicle with the trailer to overturn.
The overturned vehicle was driven by a 47-year-old female who died at the hospital. The other victims who lost their lives as a result of the accident were identified as a 16-year-old boy, a 16-year-old girl, and a 52-year-old male.
An 11-year-old boy who was in the vehicle pulling the trailer was taken to the hospital and remains in critical condition at this time.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
