Whittier, FL (April 21, 2020) – On Saturday morning, a 21-year-old woman identified as Denisha Glasford was killed in a head-on collision in Whittier.
The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of the accident, where they found that Glasford was driving a Toyota north on Kenansville Road when her vehicle collided head-on with a semi-truck for reasons that are still under investigation.
The engine flew out of Glasford’s vehicle, which caused it to land alongside the road where it started a small brush fire.
Glasford died at the scene of the accident. The 62-year-old driver of the semi-truck was able to get out of his vehicle but suffered from minor injuries.
The investigation into the accident remains ongoing.
We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim at this time. Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family in hopes of a full recovery.
