Titusville, FL (November 2, 2020) – Around 7:40 p.m. on Sunday night, November 1, a fatal pedestrian crash occurred at an intersection in Titusville.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash took place at the intersection of South Hopkins Avenue and Garden Street. An adult female pedestrian was crossing the street when she was struck by a 2016 Nissan Frontier that was headed southbound on South Hopkins Avenue.
The pedestrian was severely injured as a result of the accident. She was rushed to the hospital but pronounced dead while there.
The 17-year-old driver who struck the pedestrian was not injured and remained at the scene. She is not facing any charges at this time.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
