Orlando Personal Injury Attorney Thomas A. Vaughan was born in Charlottesville, Virginia. He spent most of his childhood and adolescence in Orlando, Florida. Mr. Vaughan returned to his birth state to attend college at Virginia Tech on a tennis scholarship and received his Bachelor’s Degree in 1977 when he graduated Deans List. In 1980, Mr. Vaughan attended the law program at the Cumberland School of Law, Samford University ultimately achieving Deans List and graduating in 1983.
Mr. Vaughan spent two years as an assistant state attorney with Florida’s Orange/Osceola County State Attorney’s Office before working as a defense attorney for insurance companies for two years with the Law Firm of Pitts, Eubanks, Hannah, Hillyard, and Marcie. In 1985, Mr. Vaughan, utilizing the knowledge and skills he obtained during the previous years, opened his own successful private practice. Since that time, Mr.Vaughan’s firm has practiced state-wide, regionally and nationally from it’s main office in downtown Orlando, Florida.
Mr. Vaughan has a wealth of experience handling all types of personal injury cases including wrongful death, workers’ compensation, products liability, mass torts, social security, and class actions. Mr. Vaughan, been awarded an AV rating by Martindale- Hubble. That is the highest rating given and it is based upon the opinion of other practicing attorneys. Mr.Vaughan has successfully litigated numerous claims against small businesses as well as claims against billion dollar corporations (view recent cases). He is a qualified member of the Orange County Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association, Florida Worker Advocates, Florida Justice Association / Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers, and American Trial Lawyers Association.
As founding partner of Vaughan Law Group, Mr. Vaughan has been recently appointed a fellowship in the Litigation Counsel of America (LCA)- the first major trial lawyer honorary society to be established since the 1950’s.
