Sanford, FL (May 21, 2020) – Early this morning, authorities responded to the scene of a fatal collision that took place at an intersection in Sanford.
Few details have been released regarding the accident but it is believed that at least two vehicles slammed into one another at the intersection of Celery Avenue and East Lake Mary Boulevard this morning around 10:30 a.m.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were dispatched to the scene of the accident. While there, one person was tragically pronounced dead at the scene. It is not known if others were injured as a result of the crash.
A roadblock was issued at the intersection until police were able to clear the roadway.
No further details have been provided but the investigation continues.
