Port Orange, FL (March 13, 2020) – On Thursday evening, March 12, a fatal motorcycle accident occurred at the intersection of Tomoka Farms Road and Country Circle.
The accident allegedly took place approximately an hour from Orlando, according to the Florida Highway Patrol, and claimed the life of one victim.
The collision happened at 4 p.m. when two motorcycles were traveling south on Tomoka Farms when a pickup truck slowed down to make a turn. One of the motorcyclists collided with the pickup truck. The second motorcyclist, a 73-year-old, was unable to stop in time and also collided with the first motorcycle.
The 70-year-old man in the first motorcycle was killed as a result of the accident. The 73-year-old motorcyclist suffered serious injuries.
At this time, the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
