Port Orange, FL (August 8, 2020) – Around 1 a.m. this morning, one person was killed in a fatal accident at an intersection in Port Orange.
The Port Orange Police Department confirmed that the collision happened when two vehicles collided at the intersection of Nova Road and Madeline Avenue. The vehicles involved were badly damaged as a result of the accident.
One driver, who has not yet been identified by police, was confirmed deceased at the scene of the accident. Both occupants inside the other vehicle were injured and transported to a local hospital.
The roadway was blocked in multiple lanes of traffic until police cleared the scene.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
