Orlando, FL (August 4, 2020) – Around 3:05 p.m. yesterday, August 3, a fatal motorcycle accident took place at an intersection in Orlando.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the collision happened at the intersection of Clarcona Ocoee Road and Red Bone Lane. A 22-year-old man was driving on Clarcona near the intersection while another 22-year-old Orlando man was driving his sedan headed west.
The driver of the sedan attempted to make a left turn onto Red Bone Lane, which caused the driver to turn directly into the path of the motorcyclist. The rider was struck so forcefully that he was launched from his bike.
The victim was immediately transported to the hospital but he tragically passed away due to his injuries while there. The rider’s identity has not yet been released.
Police blocked off a portion of the roadway at the intersection while they worked to clear the scene.
The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
