Orlando, FL (September 30, 2020) – Around 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 28, a chain-reaction crash took place at an intersection in Orlando.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 12-year-old boy stole his parent’s vehicle and caused the chain-reaction crash between multiple vehicles. The accident took place at the intersection of Sand Lake Road and Sunport Drive.
While the boy was driving the vehicle, he rear-ended a Jeep. A Mazda and a Dodge were involved in the chain-reaction collision. All four vehicles were damaged but were pulled into a parking lot until police arrived at the scene.
The boy, as well as multiple other people, were taken to the hospital but all are expected to be okay. A woman said that her daughter was hurt and multiple other victims were banged up and bruised as a result of the accident.
The 12-year old was cited for driving without a license and careless driving.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident continues.
Our thoughts are with the injured victims and their families in hopes of a full recovery.
