Orlando, FL (September 2, 2020) – Around 4:20 p.m. yesterday afternoon, September 1, a car accident with injuries took place at an Orlando intersection.
The accident took place at the intersection of Kirkman Road and Major Boulevard when an officer was responding to a call in the area. The male officer had his patrol lights and siren turned on when he made a turn from Kirkman onto Major. A vehicle was traveling along at the intersection and did not see the officer, striking his cruiser.
The officer received injuries and was transported to the hospital by paramedics. The other driver was treated at the scene and released.
It is not yet known if any charges were brought in relation to the accident.
Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision at this time.
