Orange City, FL (July 27, 2020) – Around 10:35 p.m. last night, a 67-year-old man was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident in Orange City.
The pedestrian, according to police, was walking on the shoulder of FL-15 around the area of State Road 472. A 21-year-old Deltona man was driving his vehicle headed west in the area when the pedestrian entered the road, causing him to collide with the pedestrian.
The pedestrian, identified as a man from DeLand, was initially taken to AdventHealth Orange City when he was tragically pronounced deceased.
The driver was not injured in the accident and he stayed at the scene to cooperate with the police.
The roadway was shut down in multiple lanes at the scene of the accident.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
