Ocala, FL (June 27, 2020) – On Friday, June 26, three people were killed in a head-on collision on FL-200 in Ocala.
The accident happened around 620 a.m. when a pickup truck towing a trailer was headed east on FL-200 when it suddenly crossed the center line and crashed head-on into a sedan. The pickup truck then struck a second sedan. Both of the vehicles that were struck veered to the right and went off the side of the road.
The driver of the pickup truck was identified as a 60-year-old Crystal River man, who suffered critical injuries.
The driver of the first sedan was identified as a 39-year-old woman. She and her 16-year-old female passenger both tragically passed away at the scene of the accident. There was also a 10-year-old girl in the vehicle that suffered serious injuries.
The driver of the second sedan was identified as a 73-year-old Ocala woman, who also tragically passed away at the scene.
The investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
