Ocala, FL (May 24, 2020) – Yesterday, May 23, a fatal accident took place in Marion County that took the life of one victim and left another with injuries.
Police confirmed that the accident took place at the intersection of Marion Oaks Drive and Marion Oaks Lane in Ocala.
A 59-year-old man was driving his sedan through the intersection at the same exact time that a 25-year-old man was driving his pickup truck through.
The pickup truck slammed into the sedan, causing severe damages to both vehicles. They both came to a rest in a grassy median.
The 59-year-old, who has not yet been officially identified, was tragically pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident. The 25-year-old man was taken to the hospital with injuries.
Police continue their investigation into the accident.
