Mims, FL – Fatal Bicycle Accident at US-1 and Main St Intersection

11.1 The Villages, FL – Serious Hit-and-Run Bicycle Accident on Morse Blvd

Mims, FL (June 26, 2020) – Around 8 a.m. this morning, a fatal bicycle accident took place at a Mims intersection that took one life.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the collision took place at the intersection of US-1 and Main Street when a bicycle and a passenger vehicle collided with one another.

The bicyclist, who has not yet been identified formally, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

All northbound lanes of traffic were blocked for a period of time following the crash.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
