Micco, FL (April 19, 2020) – Around 8:50 p.m. on Thursday night, an unidentified man was killed in a fatal pedestrian crash at a Micco intersection.

Police confirmed that the accident took place at the intersection of US-1 and River Grove Drive when a 70-year-old man was struck by a vehicle while crossing the roadway.

The Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that a 58-year-old driver from Sebastian, Florida was driving a Honda Accord headed north when the pedestrian walked onto the roadway and was struck.

The front of the vehicle collided with the man. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
