Mascotte, FL (March 16, 2020) – Around 4:20 a.m. on Saturday, a man was killed in a fatal accident approximately an hour away from Orlando, in Mascotte.
The collision took place at FL-33 and Covington Road and took the life of a 20-year-old man from Lake County.
FHP confirmed that the man was driving his pickup truck northbound on FL-33 while a semi-truck was headed south on the same road. For unknown reasons, the 20-year-old man collided with the semi-truck head-on.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision. No other parties were injured as a result of the accident.
The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
