Leesburg, FL – Man Killed in Fatal Accident at Treasure Island Ave Intersection

Orlando, FL – Seven Injured in Car Crash at Colonial Rd and Hiawassee Rd

Leesburg, FL (May 16, 2020) – Around 4:15 p.m. yesterday, May 15, a fatal accident involving two pickup trucks took place at a Leesburg intersection.

The Florida Highway Patrol determined that the collision took place at the intersection of County Road 44 and Treasure Island Avenue when two pickup trucks forcefully collided with one another. There was significant damage to both vehicles.

Both drivers were taken to local hospitals. One of the drivers was tragically pronounced deceased at the Leesburg Regional Medical Center.

None of the identities of the victims are yet known. At this time, police continue their investigation into the collision.

We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim at this time. Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family in hopes of a full recovery.
