Howey-in-the-Hills, FL (September 12, 2020) – On Friday evening, September 11, a car crash with injuries took place at an intersection in Howey-in-the-Hills.
The accident, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, took place around 6 p.m. just north of Groveland. Though few details have been released, police confirmed that two vehicles collided at the intersection of FL-19 and County Road 455.
A red sedan was shown completely rolled onto its side and a white pickup truck was seen with severe front-end damages. Fire crews were extricating victims from both vehicles.
Paramedics were dispatched to the scene of the accident where they confirmed that one or more victims were taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.
Drivers were asked to find an alternate route due to the area being shut down for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues.
