Edgewater, FL – Man Killed in Fatal Truck Accident on I-95

Winter Garden, FL – One Killed in Fatal Collision on Florida’s Turnpike

Edgewater, FL (June 19, 2020) – On Thursday morning, June 18, a man was killed in a fatal truck accident on I-95 in Edgewater.

The accident allegedly took place in the northbound lanes of I-95 around the area of State Road 442. The Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that a 23-year-old man was driving a 2000 Honda sedan when he stopped to speak with a serviceman about a hole in his tire.

The driver of the Honda went toward the exit with his hazard lights on but a tractor-trailer carrying Amazon packages did not see him. The truck rear-ended the Honda.

The driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The driver of the tractor-trailer suffered from minor injuries.

Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
