Apopka, FL (June 8, 2020) – Around 7 a.m. this morning, authorities responded to a serious hit-and-run crash at an intersection in Apopka.
According to police, the accident took place when two vehicles collided with one another at the intersection of Semoran Boulevard and Piedmont Wekiwa Road.
The vehicle that struck the second one fled the scene immediately following the collision. Police have not said if they have caught the responsible driver as of yet.
Injuries were reported in the parties in the vehicle that was struck at the intersection. It is believed that one or more were hospitalized.
The intersection was blocked for a period of time.
No further details have been provided but the investigation is currently ongoing.
