St. Cloud, FL (April 2, 2020) – The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a fatal truck collision on Narcoossee Road near Redd Lane in St. Cloud.
The accident, according to police, took place between a U.S. Postal truck, street sweeper, and a tow truck.
Officials confirmed that one person passed away at the scene of the accident, which took place this morning around 7 a.m.
The accident physically took place when the postal truck was hauling mail and headed north toward a tow truck assisting a street sweeper. The driver of the street sweeper, a 42-year-old man, was walking outside.
The postal truck did not slow down in time and struck the back of the trucks, as well as the driver of the sweeper.
The driver was tragically pronounced dead at the scene.
The northbound lanes of traffic were closed down for a period of time. The investigation into the collision continues.
We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim at this time.
