Sanford, FL – Update: Fatal Motorcycle Accident at Celery Ave Intersection

10.19 Kissimmee, FL – Man Killed in Fatal Motorcycle Accident on Simpson Rd

Sanford, FL (May 23, 2020) – Around 10:25 a.m. on Thursday morning, May 21, a man was killed in a fatal motorcycle accident in Sanford. The party has since been identified by police.

The accident took place at the intersection of Celery Avenue and Lake Mary Boulevard. An SUV started to make a left turn at the intersection, which caused them to enter into the path of a motorcycle. The motorcycle slammed into the left side of the SUV, causing it to overturn in traffic.

A 42-year-old woman was driving the Kia and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The 49-year-old Deltona man who was operating the motorcycle, on the other hand, was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision.

No other parties were injured as a result of the accident.

At this time, the investigation into the accident is ongoing.
