Orlando, FL (July 28, 2020) – Last night, July 27, one person was killed in a head-on collision that took place on FL-408 in Orlando.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, which took place in the westbound lanes of FL-408 around the area of the John Young Parkway. They discovered that two vehicles collided head-on with one another for reasons that are not yet known.

Numerous emergency responders were dispatched to the scene of the collision, where they discovered that one person was heavily entrapped inside their vehicle. The 61-year-old victim was initially transported to the hospital but pronounced deceased while there. It is also believed that there were traumatic injuries to others.

The roadway was blocked in all westbound lanes of traffic following the collision for a period of time. Police quickly worked to reopen the roadway.

No further details have been released but the investigation continues at this time.
