Oak Hill, FL (August 1, 2020) – On Thursday, July 30, four teens were injured in a car accident that took place on an Oak Hill roadway.
The accident took place around 3 a.m. at 100 West Halifax Avenue when the driver of a vehicle lost control, crashing into a tree. It is not known what caused the driver to lose control of their vehicle but a nearby Volusia County resident heard the collision and responded.
There were seven teenagers in the vehicle, two of which were trapped and had to be extricated by fire crews. Those two were airlifted to the hospital with critical injuries. Two others were transported to the hospital by ambulance with minor injuries.
The roadway was blocked in the area for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the accident is currently ongoing.
