In May 2007, after years of litigation, achieved a monumental and substantial settlement for a client who had received a hip implant in 2001. , through use of experts analyses of both the device and design documents, convinced the manufacturer to reimburse the client for his multiple unnecessary surgeries, pain and suffering, loss of income, loss of enjoyment of life, and future medical needs. This manufacturer/ Defendant produced a hip implant that was flawed in both its design and its construction. Due to the substantial monetary sum that was offered to the client, the client in turn entered into a non-disclosure agreement with respect to the parties and the terms.(9th Judicial Circuit)
